Virginia Splendor

This piece was a challenge, the leaves and the light shining through the leaves was created by layering numerous layers of color. This worked well to create a full look for the trees. My daughter took the original photograph that I worked off of. This piece is numbered as #47, and titled Virginia Splendor.

How lovely to have just discovered your blog. I wish you would continue to post here.
I've been doing torn paper "painting" collages myself.
Your work is wonderful.

I really enjoy your work. Do you sell any of your pieces? Do you take ideas from friendly fellows? Well, I have an idea. I am wondering if you would think about incorporating your reflections on a piece or some type of words into the story of an image. I think this could add to the story of the art and perhaps take it from one dimenstion to a holistic depiction of your creativity, emotion and passion.
